UBS Switzerland statements: documents and transaction filters
UBS Switzerland separates digital bank documents from the account transaction view. Begin with the account statement you need, rather than a tax report or statement of assets that happens to contain a balance. If you work from a transaction list, record its filters and level of detail. Those choices determine whether the resulting data is a full account review or only a search result.
Get the right document first
- Log in to UBS Switzerland E-Banking or the Mobile Banking app directly.
- Open the bank document area; the mobile help points to Bank documents in your profile.
- Search or filter by document type, account or banking relationship, and the required period.
- Choose the account statement rather than an account confirmation, tax report or statement of assets.
- Open and save the document, then verify its account, currency and actual statement dates before preparing rows.
UBS documents several ways to find bank records and request missing document categories. The sources reviewed here do not establish a universal retail CSV download procedure, so check the options in your own account service.
PDF statement or native transaction export?
A downloaded account statement provides the source record for the period. A statement of assets describes a different view, and a tax report is not a substitute for transaction rows. Keep each document labelled by its purpose instead of joining their balances into one worksheet as if they were payments.
UBS’s account transaction help describes account selection, filters and detail levels in E-Banking. Those settings are useful for finding specific entries but can narrow the population. If your service offers a structured download, compare its selected account and period with the issued statement; do not assume every filtered screen is a complete extract.
Checks that matter for this account
Banking relationship and account
UBS document filtering can target a banking relationship or an individual account. Identify the account behind every row before combining records.
Statement versus assets and tax
Keep asset valuations and tax summary figures outside the transaction ledger. They do not represent extra account credits.
Currency remains explicit
Do not assume every Swiss account is denominated in CHF. Use the currency printed on the document and separate totals by account currency.
Detail level can change context
When using account transactions, record the selected detail level and filters. A compact view may not display the same explanatory detail as the source document.
Build a spreadsheet you can review
Build a source register containing UBS account, banking relationship, currency, period and document type. Preserve transaction and value dates separately if the source provides both. Keep references as text and retain the original description beside any English translation or accounting category you add.
For a synthetic CHF account, CHF 2,500.00 opening plus CHF 800.00 incoming minus CHF 340.00 outgoing gives CHF 2,960.00. A separate EUR account requires a separate check; adding its amount directly to CHF does not produce a meaningful bank balance. Arithmetic agreement does not verify every reference or replace accounting reconciliation.
