Migros Bank statements: native CSV and issued PDF documents

Migros Bank documents an account export in both PDF and CSV, so a spreadsheet review may not require PDF conversion. Its issued bank documents are available separately through the e-document mailbox. Decide whether you need rows for a selected range or the bank’s periodic record, then retain the relevant source. Both are useful, but their periods and purpose must be checked before comparing totals.

Get the right document first

  1. Log in to Migros Bank E-Banking and select the required account.
  2. Open the account’s three-dot menu and choose the account-statement export option.
  3. Select the desired period and file format: CSV for spreadsheet rows or PDF for the generated document.
  4. Export and save the file, then verify the selected account and dates.
  5. For issued bank documents, open the mailbox, choose E-Documents and download the relevant account record.

Migros Bank’s multilingual help documents these actions in French and Italian among other languages. Menu wording can follow your session language; the account, period and format selection remain the important controls.

PDF statement or native transaction export?

Migros Bank’s account export help explicitly describes PDF for a document viewer and CSV for work in Excel. CSV is a text table, not an XLSX workbook, so import settings still matter. Retain the original export and inspect the actual delimiter, date representation and decimal convention before loading the data.

The mailbox’s E-Documents area supplies downloadable bank records. A generated account export for a custom interval should not be assumed to have the same scope as an issued periodic document. Save the issued record as well when you need its account context or balances for checking.

Checks that matter for this account

  • Generated interval versus issued period

Record the export start and end dates, then compare them with the periodic statement. A custom interval may start or end mid-cycle.

  • Number parsing follows the file

Do not guess the decimal separator from the page language. Preview real numeric values and preserve the source string beside normalized amounts.

  • Account identity and currency

Retain the account identifier and printed currency. A Swiss bank relationship can include more than one account or currency.

  • Mailbox document type

E-Documents contains different bank records. Choose the actual statement rather than a payment proof or other notice when building a complete transaction review.

Build a spreadsheet you can review

Use the spreadsheet import tool for CSV, storing IBAN and payment references as text. Keep the source description unchanged and add translation or classification in separate columns. Retain any separate booking and value dates supplied by the file, and add a source-period column before combining downloads.

For a synthetic CHF account, CHF 1,900.00 opening plus CHF 650.00 received minus CHF 310.00 paid gives CHF 2,240.00. Compare only the same account and complete period. If the CSV covers a custom interval with no matching opening balance, obtain the relevant source record instead of inserting a guessed starting amount.

FAQ · Migros Bank

Can Migros Bank export CSV directly?

Yes. Its account-statement export help lists PDF and CSV and describes CSV as a format usable in Excel.

Where are issued Migros Bank documents?

The bank’s help places them in the E-Documents area accessed through the E-Banking mailbox. Download the required account document there.

Is a custom Migros CSV always the same as the periodic statement?

No. Compare the chosen export interval, account and source document. Different periods cannot be checked against one closing balance without additional evidence.

Official bank references

The bank’s instructions take precedence. Menus and export options can differ by account, device and agreement.
