Bendigo Bank statements: standard CSV, extended CSV and PDF

Bendigo Bank’s e-banking provides native transaction downloads alongside issued eStatement PDFs. Its download list distinguishes standard CSV from an extended CSV intended for specific software, so choose the format that matches the review instead of assuming all CSV files have identical columns. The account’s Activity, Upcoming, Details and Statements areas also serve different purposes; future payments should not be mixed into a posted statement ledger.

Get the right document first

  1. Log in to Bendigo Bank e-banking or the official app and select the account.
  2. For a PDF, open Statements and choose the issued statement to download.
  3. For rows, use Download on the Activity tab, or Download Transactions from account settings if the control is not displayed.
  4. Choose the required date range and supported format, using standard CSV for a general spreadsheet review unless another format is specifically required.
  5. Download and verify the account, requested period and actual columns before importing.

Bendigo’s help documents 18 months of transaction downloads and up to seven years of statements for open accounts. Older statement access and recent structured exports are different histories.

PDF statement or native transaction export?

The native formats include standard CSV and extended CSV, with the latter described for Agrimaster and Phoenix. Other accounting formats are also listed, but a format name does not mean it is an Excel workbook. Preview the actual columns and delimiter before loading the file.

The issued PDF retains account and cycle context. Bendigo’s statement area also provides a proof-of-account document, which is not automatically a transaction statement. If the download history does not cover the period, use the available statement PDFs and retain page references for any extraction or manual transcription.

Checks that matter for this account

  • Standard versus extended CSV

Record the selected format and inspect its headers. Do not append two different schemas without mapping and checking their fields first.

  • Posted versus pending

Bendigo describes card holds as pending before the merchant completes processing. Keep them separate from posted entries used for a closed statement review.

  • Upcoming is a different population

Scheduled future payments shown in Upcoming are not evidence that the account has already been debited.

  • Proof of account is not activity

Check that a PDF downloaded from Statements is the transaction statement, rather than the separate proof-of-account record.

Build a spreadsheet you can review

Import CSV using the correct Australian date interpretation and preserve BSB and account references as text. Keep the source format, requested dates and original descriptions. Add a status column if the source includes pending activity, and verify the first and last posted entries against the issued period.

For a synthetic account, A$900.00 opening plus A$1,200.00 in posted credits minus A$475.00 in posted debits gives A$1,625.00. A future scheduled payment and a pending card hold belong outside this closed-cycle equation. Investigate differences using source rows; a matching balance does not establish that every transaction description is intact.

FAQ · Bendigo Bank

Which Bendigo CSV should I choose for Excel?

Standard CSV is the general spreadsheet starting point. Bendigo describes extended CSV for particular software; inspect its columns before using it for a different purpose.

Can I download older transactions as CSV?

The current help documents 18 months of transaction downloads. For earlier periods, inspect the available eStatement PDFs.

Is a proof-of-account PDF enough to reconstruct my transactions?

No. It serves a different purpose. Select the issued statement containing the actual period’s account activity.
